The HR Business Partner (HRBP) will act as a strategic and operational advisor to the production site. This role requires deep understanding of Belgian social legislation and strong skills in social and employee relations, change management, and organizational development. The HRBP will work closely with the HR Head and ensure alignment with corporate policies, while adapting solutions to meet site-specific needs. The HRBP will monitor processes of HR shared service centers (payroll, HR services, recruitment) to ensure compliance and efficiency.
Key responsibilities:
Employee and social relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with union representatives to foster constructive dialogue and resolve issues proactively. Provide guidance and coaching to managers on employee relations, ensuring compliance with collective agreements and labor laws.
Compliance & Legal Framework: Ensure compliance with Belgian social legislation, corporate policies, and local employment law. Provide advice to managers and leadership on complex HR issues, such as performance management, disciplinary actions, and grievances. Monitor adherence to collective bargaining agreements, corporate policies, and relevant regulations.
Employee Engagement & Well-being: Drive initiatives aimed at improving employee engagement and well-being within the production site. Develop programs focused on workplace safety, mental health, and work-life balance. Act as an advocate for a positive employee experience, contributing to building a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
Workforce Planning & Monitoring HR Services: Monitor the execution of recruitment and payroll by the shared service center, ensuring that service level agreements are met and that any site-specific needs are addressed. Analyze workforce metrics and recommend proactive solutions for workforce efficiency and development.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as a trusted advisor to people managers, providing insights on HR matters and organizational development. Liaise with corporate HR teams to ensure alignment with global initiatives and report on site-specific HR trends and needs. Collaborate with other HRBPs across the organization to share best practices and implement site-level improvements.
Talent Development & Organizational Effectiveness: Partner with the HR Head and SLT to implement performance management, talent development, and succession planning initiatives. Support managers in fostering a high-performance culture by implementing employee engagement and retention strategies.
Key requirements:
Bachelor`s or equivalent work experience in Human Resources related discipline, Business Administration
Extensive experience and knowledge in Belgium labor law, market and dealing with works councils
Experience in payroll and with service centers
Fluent in Dutch and English
Working in a multinational, matrixed organization is a plus
