What are we looking for?
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Commercial Director to lead our strategic initiatives across the EU region. This pivotal role will help us increase further our market presence and foster strong relationships with key stakeholders. You will play a crucial role in driving business development initiatives within the automotive remarketing sector, establishing and maintaining key customer relationships, negotiating solutions and tenders with key players in the market, and contributing to the overall growth and profitability of the company. YOUR ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Develop and execute comprehensive commercial strategies to achieve objectives.
2. Work alongside and support our local market county managers, providing mentorship and support to drive their success.
3. Analyze market trends and customer needs to identify new business opportunities & threats.
4. Establish and maintain strong relationships with key partners, customers, and stakeholders.
5. Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure alignment and maximize business performance.
6. Monitor and report on the performance of commercial initiatives, making data-driven decisions to optimize outcomes.
7. Follow up & report on market dynamics and competitor activities.
8. Represent OPENLANE at industry events to promote our brand and network with potential customers.
YOUR PROFILE
1. Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, or a related field is preferred but not essential.
2. Proven experience in a senior commercial leadership role within the automotive industry, ideally within EU, with a minimum 7 years’ experience.
3. Strong understanding of the used car market dynamics and customers’ needs in the region.
4. Exceptional negotiation and communication skills.
5. Ability to integrate into the business and be a team player.
6. Proficient in English, additional European languages are a plus.
7. Willingness to travel as needed.
