This project involves configuring a new application (package Fronteo, supplier Mainsys) to meet the client’s requirements and integrating it with the client’s existing applications. The project has a strict timeline, with a completion target of November 2024. Testing will be managed rigorously, including the design of test strategy, approach, planning, and follow-up of results. Coordination among three parties (client business, client IT, and the supplier Mainsys) is essential.
Required Skills and Background
Experience and Expertise
* 8+ years of experience in developing and implementing E2E test strategies and plans for complex projects, including test objectives, test approach, resource allocation, and schedules.
* Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to communicate efficiently with both business and IT teams on design, functional, and technical matters.
* Good knowledge of test methodologies. Relevant certifications (e.g., ISTQB) are an advantage.
* Experience with test management tools, such as JIRA (preferred) and HP ALM.
* Extensive analytical, problem-solving, coordination, decision-making, and follow-up skills.
* Proactive, hands-on mindset with a strong sense of responsibility and ownership.
Domain Knowledge
* Experience in banking, with a preference for knowledge of the credits domain.
* Native or full proficiency in Dutch, with working proficiency in English and French preferred.
Technical Skills
* Knowledge of web service development, REST APIs, and usage of xsd/JSON files.
* Experience with API automation and tools such as Selenium, Postman, and Swagger UI.
* Experience with CICD/DevOps tool chain – GIT, Jenkins.
* Experience working in a SAFe/Agile context.
* Experience as an E2E Test Manager with knowledge of implementing the Mainsys FRONTeO solution.
Tasks and Responsibilities
Collaboration and Planning
* Collaborate with the epic owner, business analysts, functional analysts, and developers to understand project requirements and define the testing approach.
* Establish and enforce quality assurance processes for the project, in line with relevant company guidelines and in close cooperation with the testing competence center.
Test Automation and Documentation
* Evaluate the feasibility of test automation and guide the development of automated test scripts where applicable.
* Create and maintain test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test reports.
* Review test artifacts to ensure compliance with project requirements and best practices.
Execution and Monitoring
* Oversee the execution of test cases, including user acceptance, functional, integration, regression, and performance testing.
* Monitor progress, identify and prioritize issues, and ensure timely resolution of defects.
* Define and track key testing metrics to measure the effectiveness and progress of testing activities.
Communication and Reporting
* Ensure clear and concise communication of test results to project stakeholders.
* Prepare and present test status and defect reports.
* Identify, assess, and report testing risks and develop mitigation strategies.
Process Improvement
* Implement process improvements and optimizations in the testing methodology.
