As a Data Center Technician, you will install, configure, test, troubleshoot and maintain hardware (eg, servers and its components) and server software (eg, Google's Linux cluster). You will work on the configuration of components such as networks, routers, hubs, bridges, switches, and networking protocols. You will also participate or lead project teams on installations and develop project contingency plans. In addition, you will be involved in the manual movement and installation of racks. A typical day involves manual movement and installation of racks, and while it can sometimes be physically demanding, you are excited to work with infrastructure that is at the cutting-edge of computer technology. Job responsibilities Lead troubleshooting and resolve escalated technical issues regarding affected equipment. Contribute to and lead efforts/projects in the deployment, maintenance, and support of data center infrastructure. Help test and troubleshoot server hardware components and designs. Configure and troubleshoot OS-related issues on server.
