Job Description:
You will work on our scalable SaaS platform, which runs on AWS. It's optimized to process high data throughputs and support computationally heavy algorithms and AI. This setup allows our Data Scientist Team to innovate swiftly, transitioning from early developments to production-grade services rapidly.
Although we don't confine team members to labels, our team's skills and competencies encompass cloud architecture, security & IAM, information management, data engineering, software engineering, DevOps & CI/CD, and more.
Key Responsibilities:
As an AWS Expert, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team with a wide range of responsibilities, including cloud architecture, security and IAM, information management, data engineering (data streaming, lambda/kappa architectures, data batching), software engineering, and DevOps & CI/CD. Your main focus is to propose and implement the best AWS services.
Requirements:
* Education: Masters Degree in Computer Science engineering, Computer Science or equivalent by experience.
* Solid and demonstrable experience with various AWS services.
* Ability to advise, deploy, configure, and automate the most suitable AWS service (using Terraform).
* Familiarity with services including:
o IAM (users, groups, roles, IAM policies), Cognito (including lambda triggers, authentication specifications)
o CloudFront, EC2 ALB & ELB, Appmesh, VPC (zones, subnets), VPN
o Kinesis, SNS, SQS, EventBridge
o RDS (Postgres)
o CloudWatch, CloudTrail
o ECS, EKS, ECR (Kubernetes knowledge is a plus)
o All aspects of S3 and EC2 (encryption keys, access policies, instance profiles, security groups)
o Tasks, Batch, Compute Environments
o Step features, Lambda features
* Experience in setting up large, complex AWS-based architectures.
* Experience in application lifecycle management, continuous integration, and necessary tools (Jira, Git, GKE, etc.).
* Knowledge of implementing the right security and privacy measures across the platform according to industry standards (IAM, authorization/authentication flows, GDPR).
* Experience with SCRUM or Agile working is considered a plus (we use the Atlassian Stack).
* Good written and oral communication skills in English.
* Agility in planning and organizing your work. Excellent team player comfortable in a fast-paced cross-functional environment.
