Are you a motivated and forward-thinking Business Development Specialist to join our dynamic Fibres team? As a Business Development Specialist your main mission is to improve Fibres Market position and achieve financial growth. You will play a crucial role in driving the company's growth by identifying and quantifying new business opportunities, understanding market needs, and developing long-term organisational strategic goals.
The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with a passion for customer relationships and an extensive knowledge of current market conditions.
Key Responsibilities
1. You will be fully involved in the Innovation process and will be part of the team responsible of the definition and implementation of all aspects needed to capture the business development in a sustainable way.
2. You will write the business plan for new business opportunities after collection of the inputs of all relevant function domains.
3. In this role you develop deeper market knowledge insights and document these on paper with the final goal to implement these into solutions that address the respective industry’s concerns and needs.
4. You develop an internal and external network to anticipate industry trends and captures potential emerging needs doing so.
5. You actively scouts and raises new opportunities to the Corporate Development team from in depth market understanding.
6. In this role you act as a Project Manager for multidisciplinary strategic projects.
7. You will increase sales opportunities and hereby maximizes revenue for the Fibres organization.
8. You will report to the Business Development Manager of the Fibres division and works closely together with the Sales, Innovation team and Marketing team.
9. Daily and frequent contacts with prospects and customers, suppliers, other companies with which partnerships can be built
10. You will build up and maintain relationships trough a broad network of partners: machine manufacturers, test institutes, trade associations, norms and standardization committees, end customers, seminars, tradeshows,…
Qualifications and Skills
11. Master’s degree - business engineering / master in commercial sciences or a related field
12. At least 3 years of experience
13. Demonstrates strong business acumen incl. knowledge of manufacturing, finance and marketing.
14. Fluent in English
15. You are committed team player but you also love to work independently
16. You are proactive and driven
17. You have strong communication/negotation and reporting skills
18. Time management skills – well organized, ability to prioritize workload effectively
19. Ability to build and maintain a relevant network in the industry
20. Willing to travel on a regular basis (<20%, mostly within Europe)
21. Strong curiosity for new business models, innovations, technology
