This is a leadership position within an International Supply Chain organization. Expectations are to manage and deliver best in class logistics solutions, supporting EMEA business growth and strategic plan.
The position will be responsible for leading the EMEA logistics team with clear focus on further developing a highly engaged team. Focus of scope will be Transport, Warehousing and Logistics – with knowledge of cold chain and complex customs relations.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
1. Lead and develop a high-performing logistics team, fostering excellence and collaboration.
2. Drive talent growth through clear performance paths and key experiences.
3. Manage projects, develop business cases, and ensure timely delivery within budget.
4. Develop and implement efficient logistics strategies with external partners - Specifically 3PL.
5. Optimize financial performance, ensure budget alignment, and drive cost-saving initiatives.
6. Maintain updated logistics processes and SOPs for compliance and successful audits.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
1. At least 10 years’ experience in logistics and supply chain management.
2. Education - BS/BA Business Administration, Supply Chain and Logistics, engineering or related degree.
3. Demonstrated leadership with ability to work across organizational boundaries.
4. Experience in Cold Chain and management of Supply Chain of highly regulated products.
5. Experience in parcel services and spare parts management.
6. Proficient in Excel, experience using BI tools e.g. QlikView.
7. Conversant with ERP systems like Oracle / SAP and Planning forecasting software.
8. Experience in Pharma, medical devices, food or regulated products supply chains.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Number of direct reports – 3.
2. Number of indirect reports – 15.
EXPECTED TRAVEL:
Approximately 15%.
