With the ambitious year on year growth plans your top priority is the further development of the commercial activities of the Lufthansa Group and our JVs.You plan, define, coordinate and lead commercial strategies and business development initiatives. You are the representative of Brussels Airlines and the Lufthansa Group both in Douala and Yaoundé and you will build and develop strong relationships with relevant stakeholders, such as local authorities, airport management, travel agencies, international organisations and key economic players.In close collaboration with the GM Central Africa you lead and motivate your team with your hunters mentality, enthusiasm and positive approach. You have a key role in developing the amazing talent within your team by focussing on a best-in-class mentality.Business Development & Account ManagementEstablish, execute and follow-up annual sales objectives and KPI targets in line with the assigned budget and the ambition of the LH Group and our JV partners.Identify revenue/cost opportunities in cooperation with the GM Central Africa and develop effective initiatives to exploit these opportunities in all relevant segments.Negotiate and finalize commercial contracts with travel agencies, corporates, groups and MICE both in Douala and Yaoundé.Closely monitor and analyse revenue performance of all sales channels and evaluate and define appropriate corrective measures to push the performance.Coordinate LH Group & JV partner topics with all relevant interfaces and reassure local execution of commercial requirements.Steer sales promotion and customer service activities based on defined action plans.Representation & InformationYou are the legal representative of Brussels Airlines (via PoA) and you will represent the LH Group within Cameroon.Ensure internal flow of information and cooperation with relevant interfaces and stakeholders.Participate in other duties as assigned.People ManagementSelect, lead, guide and motivate our great teams in Douala and Yaoundé.Personnel planning and team optimization in accordance with agreed budgets.Develop the team and foster talent by applying the available performance management tools.Process OrientationAccountable for process execution within your tasks of responsibility.Actively collect and contribute ideas for process improvements.Local / Regional SpecificsAs general sales manager you are in charge of both Douala and Yaoundé.Your profileBachelor/Master degree with at least 8 years of commercial experience.Extensive experience in sales is a must; knowledge of HR, legal and finance within an African context are a plus.Experience / capacity to manage and inspire your team.Airline / travel trade know-how are a nice to have.Leadership / analytical skills / negotiation skills / communication skills / creativity / result orientation.Language skills: English and French fluent (written and spoken) is a must.
