About the Role
Thermo Fisher Scientific is seeking a highly motivated and ambitious individual to support our Clinical Sequencing Division (CSD) European Sales team in a remote, field-based role. This opportunity is ideal for those with a background in Next Generation Sequencing and biomarkers clinical testing market, along with a strong network inside the pathologist/oncologist environment and a great understanding of healthcare industry standards, guidelines, and reimbursement process.
Responsibilities
* Promote NGS clinical solutions to actual and new customers (academic medical centers, routine & pathology testing labs, hospitals).
* Drive successful adoption of technology within applied markets while investigating potential of other applications and solutions.
* Manage opportunity pipeline from initial contact to contract signing.
* Achieve revenue targets and deadlines by implementing regional forecast and conducting regular business reviews.
* Maintain accurate customer information through Thermo Fisher Scientific CRM (Sales Force).
* Craft strategies and tactics for developing existing and new businesses in targeted accounts.
* Improve customer value and satisfaction by aligning complex product solutions and services with key customer initiatives.
* Manage relationships with key collaborating partners, savant society, and key decision makers.
* Respond to customer requests and issues with a sense of detail and urgency.
* Develop excellent business presentation and influencing skills.
* Estimated 50-75% travel required.
Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences or related field, with relevant experience; or an MS degree in Life Sciences. Equivalent experience considered.
* Demonstrable success in complex selling in the healthcare market (in vitro diagnostics, medical device, pharmaceutical).
* Proven experience in NGS sequencing and molecular biology.
* Understanding of healthcare industry standards, guidelines, and environments.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and Salesforce.
