Context
Client is undergoing a major digital transformation through the Business Systems program, aimed at implementing SAP (S/4 Hana, SuccessFactors, Field Service Management) in key business domains including Finance, Procurement, HR, Sales, Project Management, Waste & Logistics, and Operations.
This initiative involves phasing out part of the existing AS400 environment while introducing new functionalities to optimize operations. Currently, the program is in the acceptance testing and training phase, with GO LIVE scheduled for June 2. Additionally, a Proof of Concept for resource-related billing is underway to strategize further realization and rollout within the Business Orders & Sales team—the team where the new Product Owner will play a critical role.
Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Product Owner to:
* Support the Business Orders & Sales team in developing and validating the SAP solution.
* Provide product ownership for SAP implementations within Client.
* Transition into the operational mode as the owner of the Business Orders & Sales team post- implementation.
Key Responsibilities
SAP Implementation & Ownership:
* Act as the Product Owner on the Client side, ensuring successful deployment of the SAP solution for Business Orders & Sales.
* Collaborate closely with the external implementation partner for end-to-end (E2E) SAP implementation.
Testing & Validation:
* Oversee and guide testing phases, including acceptance tests.
* Develop and manage detailed test scenarios to ensure solution integrity.
Functional & Analytical Support:
* Assist the Product Team in defining and enhancing the to-be SAP solution.
* Investigate and handle content dependencies across:
* Legacy & target solutions
* Multiple functional domains
Cross-Team Collaboration:
* Work alongside all key stakeholders:
* Management program
* Change management
* Test management
* Integration management
* Reporting functions
Documentation & Communication:
* Ensure meticulous documentation of project details.
* Independently conduct activities, providing clear and transparent communication to both the Product Team and Program Management.
Business Collaboration:
* Engage with Business stakeholders across various project phases:
* Requirement gathering
* Testing
* Operational transition
* Support a hybrid work model (3 days at the office, 2 days remote).
Required Experience & Skills
Technical & Functional Skills
* SAP Knowledge: Experience with SAP (S/4 Hana, SuccessFactors, FSM) is a plus.
* Product Ownership: Minimum 5+ years in product ownership roles within:
* Engineering
* Utilities
* Sales
* Equivalent industries
* Testing Expertise: At least 2+ years of hands-on experience in test management.
* Agile Environment: Proven track record in (hybrid-) Agile methodologies for functionally complex projects.
* Analytical & Strategic Thinking: Strong ability to process abstract concepts and complex workflows.
Soft Skills
