Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and energetic General Manager to oversee the operations of our nightlife venue.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing high-volume nightlife or hospitality venues, with a strong focus on customer experience, team leadership, and financial success.
Key Responsibilities:
Venue Operations:
1. Oversee all aspects of daily operations, ensuring smooth service and a consistently high standard of guest satisfaction.
2. Manage event schedules, liaise with performers, and coordinate with promoters to deliver a diverse and appealing entertainment programme.
3. Ensure the venue operates in compliance with all health, safety, and licensing regulations.
4. Develop and refine operational policies, including crowd management, security, and service protocols.
Customer Experience:
1. Lead the team in delivering an exceptional nightlife experience, from service excellence to atmosphere and entertainment.
2. Monitor customer feedback and implement strategies to enhance guest satisfaction and loyalty.
3. Act as the public face of the venue, engaging with guests to build relationships and maintain a strong reputation.
4. Recruit, train, and manage a high-performing team, including bar staff, security, and floor managers, chef.
5. Foster a positive, inclusive, and professional workplace culture.
6. Conduct regular staff meetings, performance reviews, and provide ongoing training to ensure operational excellence.
7. Create and manage budgets, including payroll, inventory, and marketing expenses.
8. Analyze financial performance and implement strategies to maximize revenue and control costs.
9. Oversee inventory management, including bar stock, to minimize waste and ensure profitability.
Marketing and Promotion:
1. Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute promotional campaigns, events, and social media strategies.
2. Build partnerships with promoters, brands, and influencers to enhance the venue’s profile and attract new audiences.
Requirements:
1. Proven experience as a General Manager or similar role in a high-volume nightlife or hospitality environment.
2. Strong leadership and team management skills.
3. Excellent understanding of entertainment programming, bar operations, and customer service.
4. Experience in budgeting, financial reporting, and cost control.
5. Knowledge of local licensing and safety regulations.
6. Exceptional communication and problem-solving skills.
7. Passion for nightlife, entertainment, and creating memorable guest experiences.
