Hays is looking for an engineer in regulatory affairs in the Aalst region.
Your new company
As an engineer in regulatory affairs, you will work in the advisory and coordination office of an international company with a strong name. You get every opportunity to develop yourself in the latest technical evolution.
Your new role
1. You closely study, analyse and follow the developments in the European and technical legislation and standards.
2. You ensure the necessary reporting and information flow to all relevant departments within the company (R&D, certification and sales) to ensure technical compliance of the products and to support business and technology planning.
3. You study technical files and actively participate in consultations and meetings with all parties involved, both at European and international level, to collect the necessary information and to defend the interests for the products.
4. You are mainly active in the field of mechanical and electrical safety requirements. You also work on topics such as emissions, noise, battery propulsion and artificial intelligence.
5. You represent the company and its position in the context of industry association activities and towards national and European authorities.
Your profile
6. You have a technical bachelor or master's degree (e.g. automotive technology, (electro)mechanics, chemistry, IT...) or an equivalent degree combined with a passion for technology.
7. You are comfortable with working in a legal and policy environment.
8. You are able to accuracy and speed
9. You are a team player with a proactive and entrepreneurial approach.
10. You can communicate professionally in English. Knowledge of Dutch is a plus.
11. You are prepared to occasionally travel abroad for your job.
