Job Description
Overview of the role:
The Production Team Leader has the operational & tactical leadership of the production department and manages his/her team in daily operations (including loading, unloading, dumping and filling operations of drums and bins).
The Production Team Leader ensures efficient staffing of the production team and strives for good, smooth cooperation with other departments. The main internal partners are the Teamleader Control Room, Teamleader Planning and Operations Manager.
The Production Team Leader also identifies (structural) improvements and participates in (Lean Six Sigma) projects within the operational activities of the site.
Your missions:
1. Preparation of staff planning for the entire production department
2. Responsible for the training and development of the Production Supervisor and production operators
3. Responsible for the performance reviews of the Production Supervisor as well as the production operators
4. Conduct constructive feedback and check-in interviews
5. Prepare an annual production budget in consultation with the Operations Manager, as well as monthly monitoring of the budget, actuals and landing
6. Organize all production-related operations, i.e. those involving emptying, filling, storing and transporting drums and bins
7. Work constructively with the Teamleader Control Room, Teamleader Planning and Operations Manager on operations within production and adjust planning as necessary
8. Monitor the execution of planned production operations, through performance KPIs;
9. Ensure efficient, effective and above all transparent management of the drum warehouse
10. Organize Level1 and toolbox meetings (in consultation with OPM, SHE, QA, ...) on a daily and weekly basis
11. Establish, monitor and analyse operational KPIs for production
12. Participate in weekly Level2 meetings where operational KPIs are discussed
13. Follow up incidents, perform corresponding root cause analysis and take corrective action
14. Ensure clear, orderly and complete production shift handover
15. Actively participate in projects related to Continuous Improvement
16. Steer order and cleanliness on the shop floor (5S)
17. Ensure everyone follows hygiene and safety rules (including through GEMBA walks)
18. Collaborate with the Operations Manager in optimisation and digitalisation projects. Support the project as well as Operational Excellence department
Experience
Your profile:
19. 3 years of relevant managerial experience
20. Knowledge of HACCP, GMP, first aid
21. Knowledge of MS Office and ERP packages
22. Forklift licence is a plus
23. Notions of Lean, Six Sigma, Management Of Change, Root Cause...
