Mission
You have the opportunity to participate in the design and development of innovative and creative robotics projects in a highly emerging field. You will be involved in the implementation of our autonomous or remotely operated naval robot systems.
You are responsible for the design, development and validation of critical C++ software embedded in the payload of an autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV) .
YOUR TASKS
Your main mission covers the entire software component development cycle. You join an agile development team of software engineers, working in a tight loop with algorithmic scientist, electronics and vehicle system engineers. You report to the to the R&D Manager and software team lead:
1. You specify, design and develop real-time, critical C++ software
2. You implement software modules based on functional specifications, to be integrated in an existing architecture. These include
- Functions related to the control, command and monitoring of the sonar. You work with time-critical systems working together, state machines, etc.
- Implementation of algorithms written in matlab, on a dedicated CPU/GPU platform in C++
- Refactors of the core architecture and utility libraries
3. You write the associated documentation
4. You consider the full software development cycle as well as its deployment and usage. To these ends, you support:
- Software testing and validation using a python framework and simulators.
- Integration and deployment of the sonar software within the software framework of an unmanned vehicle.
YOUR SKILLS:
5. You have experience with Object-oriented Programming and working with medium-sized code stacks
6. You have an excellent knowledge of C++. Knowledge of Python is an asset.
7. You have experience with Agile and Cycle methods in V
8. Experience with communication protocols like serial links, Ethernet, CAN bus ... is an asset
9. Experience with GPU development in CUDA is a plus
10. You are familiar with tools like Git, Jira, Jenkins, Confluence, SonarQube, Conan, Testlink
Profile
11. You have a masters degree in computer science/engineering, or a bachelors degree in software engineering and at least 3 years of experience in C++ development
12. Accurate, analytical, pragmatic, creative and willing to face challenges
13. You are passionate and curious about new technologies and development methods
