IT Support Engineer
Are you an experienced IT Support Engineer looking for an exciting opportunity in Brussels? My client, a highly respected government body known for its commitment to excellence and innovation, is looking for a skilled IT professional to join their team on an initial 1-year contract, with hybrid working arrangements.
Your Role:
As an IT Support Specialist, you will play a key role in providing top-tier technical support, ensuring the smooth operation of IT services, and resolving user issues efficiently. Your responsibilities will include:
* Incident and problem management – acting as a service desk agent, incident analyst, and problem analyst
* First and second-line IT support – offering both remote and on-site assistance
* Tracking and documentation – recording incidents, problems, and requests while maintaining operational procedures
* System reconfiguration & installations – assisting with PC setups and troubleshooting
* Application testing & administration – ensuring systems run smoothly and liaising with administrators
* Knowledge sharing – drafting technical content for the internal knowledge base
What We Are Looking For:
* Minimum 3 years of IT Support experience
* Fluency in English & French (both written and spoken)
* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
* Broad IT knowledge and ability to work autonomously
* Excellent knowledge of MS Office applications and Windows environments
* Understanding of mobile platforms and core mobile applications
* ITIL V4 Foundation Certification (or willingness to obtain within the first 3 months)
