Chief Operational Officer
The Chief Operational Officer will be responsible for the daily management of operations, including production, design for manufacturing and testing, process and industrial architecture, performance management, industrial projects, and LEAN. This role also involves managing activities with dual reporting to various departments such as procurement, supplier operations, information systems and processes, and operations planning and forecasting.
Your Responsibilities
* Ensure performance, competitiveness, and compliance of DOP operations while respecting financial standards by supervising and coordinating manufacturing and production operations on site, optimizing human resources with the help of HR (recruitment, training, and personnel evaluation), ensuring compliance with quality, health, and safety standards, implementing/optimizing processes to continuously improve operational efficiency, and collaborating with other departments to align operations with overall business objectives.
* Develop an industrial strategy consistent with TAS's overall objectives in Belgium, coordinating local operations with other TAS entities, oversee order taking, quotations, and industrialization of new products in collaboration with various functional departments, drive financial performance by consolidating data, producing reports, and monitoring investments, lead a transformation project across our Belgian entities aimed at reducing costs and improving operational efficiency.
Your Profile
* Masters degree in engineering, ideally in the aerospace sector or a related field.
* SIGNIFICANT experience in production management (factory/site management).
* Participation in an industrial transformation project, especially in reducing non-quality costs and/or structural costs.
* Experience in a matrix and/or transnational organization.
* Recognized leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and lead a multidisciplinary team.
* Strong numerical skills and ability to define reliable performance indicators.
* Proactive decision-making and effective problem-solving skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal relationship management skills.
* Strategic vision for improving operational efficiency and achieving business goals with a results-oriented approach.
* Fluency in French and English, both spoken and written; Dutch is a plus.
