We are looking for an experienced and engaged Facility Manager for our site in Beringen.
Your Role
The facility manager is responsible for preserving the good condition of the infrastructure and ensures that facilities are clean, safe, properly maintained and well-functioning. The goal is to ensure our warehouses and offices are problem-free and safe so that employees can work under the best conditions.
Your Responsibilities
* Technical Facility Management: Initiating facility products and services, ensuring compliance with building and operations licenses, collaborating with internal teams and contractors, keeping updated building plans and technical knowledge in areas such as electricity, ventilation, and industrial engineering.
* Supplier Management: Maintaining the supplier database, managing supplier performance, requesting offers, seeking competitive alternatives, developing positive relationships with suppliers, and acting as the main contact for external services.
* Financial: Monitoring budgets and approving contracts in collaboration with the line manager
Organization & Leadership: Contributing to facility management projects, ensuring business needs are understood, reporting on facility projects, and continuously updating facility knowledge.
* Quality: Ensuring compliance with local zoning laws, responding to emergencies 24/7, promoting continuous improvement through KPIs and best practices, recommending efficiency improvements, and developing QSHE-compliant procedures and guidelines.
* Decision Making: Selecting suppliers and generating contracts post-tender, influencing stakeholders on facility solutions, and impacting business efficiency and customer satisfaction through effective procurement. #LI-JD4
Your Skills and Experiences
* Bachelor's or Master's education in facility management/civil engineering / construction / environmental engineering or equal experience and at least 5 years of experience in a similar position;
* Strong leader who knows how to translate operational KPIs into efficient decisions on the floor and ensure their safeguarding;
* Well-versed in technical/engineering operations and facilities management best practices, strong technical background;
* Good knowledge of (Project) Management tools, knowledge of basic accounting and finance principles. Ability to communicate effectively at all levels within the business and obtain buy in;
* Fluency in English and Dutch is required;
* Flexibility around working hours is needed.
