Credit Specialties (CS) is the global practice within Marsh that delivers payment, performance and country risk, insurance knowledge and solutions through a diverse and creative team. CS brings together the key credit risk transfer product disciplines of Non-Payment Insurance, Political Risk Insurance, Trade Credit Insurance, Surety and Parametric Solutions.
Within Credit Specialties, the Lenders’ Solutions Group (LSG) was created in 2013 and is our dedicated industry group supporting financiers with the provision of specialist knowledge on the structuring, syndication and placement of credit related insurance solutions using our market leading product suite to support their growth strategies. The team has expertise relating to a variety of asset classes including project and export finance, aviation finance, receivables and supply chain finance, surety, and Portfolios (including Significant Risk Transfers).
Reporting to the LSG Leader for Europe, your role would include the following tasks:
Growth:
1. Elaboration and development of our value proposition and adequate written support;
2. Active cross sell and multi-product promotion to new and existing LSG clients for Trade Credit; Non-Payment Insurance; Surety and Portfolio Solutions
3. Content creation for local LSG Credit Specialties brochures & marketing material
4. Drive and promote new initiatives and innovation.
External Presence
5. Participation in local regulatory discussions for CRM under Basel and for local implementation.
6. Promotion of Marsh’s LSG offering locally including at Marsh organized events, as well as conference attendance, panel participation and speaking slots as required e.g. ITFA, BAFT, LMA
Internal Coordination
7. Dissemination of market information into local in-country teams
8. Organizing local training / workshops as appropriate;
Operational
9. Maintaining up to date client and prospect lists
10. Revenue Tracking
Profile:
11. Proven commercial skills, ability to speak in public and to engage constructively with external counterparts;
12. 3-7 years’ prior experience in financial services, credit insurance underwriting or as a broker focusing on banks and/or Non-Bank Financial Institutions. You must be familiar with insurance topics and/or syndication/distribution across different types of asset classes including trade finance, Structured Trade & Export Finance (STEF), project finance, commodity finance and syndication;
13. Strong financial skills are a must-have, securitization knowledge would be welcomed;
14. Proven experience in trade finance;
15. Fluency in written and spoken English, an additional European language is also required;
16. Multicultural mindset, willingness to travel and interact with different countries;
17. Operational excellence and an acute eye for detail are an absolute must have.
