For one of our clients active in the Energy sector in Belgium, we are looking for an Electricity designer to join their department responsible for the engineering of all infrastructure projects relating to the development, extension and renovation of the 36 to 380 Kv electricity transmission network.
As an Electricity Designer (low-voltage), you will be responsible for Secondary Systems studies relating to electrical protection, control and command, automation and measurement equipment for High Voltage installations on the electricity network.
Resposibilities include
Assist the Project Manager in the feasibility or pre-study phase of the project
During the design phase, prepare and carry out design and detail studies, in particular
Organising and managing the planning of your studies in terms of priorities and deliverables
Drawing up protection block diagrams and detailed principle diagrams
Participate in the definition and choice of equipment
Ensuring the quality of the studies by using approved equipment and in accordance with Elia's standards and methodologies, etc.
Evaluating and specifying the standards for the specific case to be studied
Checking the quality of detailed studies carried out externally
Ensuring that manufacturers' documents are checked
Participate, as required, in factory acceptance tests for electrical equipment
During the construction phase, to assist the Project Manager in monitoring low-voltage work on site, i.e.
Ensuring contact with the operator, suppliers and electrical installation companies in his/her speciality
Intervening and providing solutions in the event of design or implementation problems on site
Participate, as required, in site meetings dealing with technical aspects, as well as site tests and commissioning of installations
At the end of the project, carry out the debriefing on the Lv studies and ensure that the diagrams are As Built
Requirements
Degree/bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in electricity, electronics or automation.
Knowledge of Windows Office applications
Very good knowledge of Dutch and/or French, and English
Knowledge of AutoCAD is an asset
