Your Work Context
Jan De Nul is a pioneer in building at sea. We install infrastructure for renewable energy, enable transport by water, protect our coastlines and build state-of-the-art ports. To do so, we use a varied fleet of heavy rolling equipment such as bulldozers, excavators, wheel loaders, cable cranes, compactors, and so on. For this rolling stock, we are looking for motivated colleagues to take on maintenance from the local workshop.
Your Role
Our workshops are the local hubs where heavy equipment is checked, maintained and repaired. As a mechanic/technician, you will work together with your colleagues on bulldozers, dump trucks, wheel loaders, hydraulic excavators and various types of cranes. By performing this job, you will develop into an all-round technician in a unique work setting!
Your duties will be as follows:
* You will assist in maintenance works of the heavy rolling stock.
* You will be involved in major repairs and overhauls of engines.
* You ensure a safe working environment to guarantee the safety of yourself and your colleagues, which includes ensuring a neat and orderly workplace.
* You guide/manage the mechanics who also work in the workshop.
For this, we are looking for candidates with the following profile:
* You have extensive experience with various heavy equipment.
* You have a solid technical background.
* You have an eye for safety.
* You are a go-getter; when you encounter a problem, you do not throw in the towel but work together with your colleagues to find a solution.
* Which brings us to teamwork: a very important aspect in this job!
* You speak English fluently.

* You will work ashore in our workshops and sleep in a nearby hotel (not on board the ships). The location of this employment is spread worldwide and varies according to our projects.
* Through the JDN-Academy, we offer you a permanent training programme.
