Our team is responsible for the technical architecture, deployment, maintenance, and troubleshooting of our tier 2 Datacenter, private WAN, local LAN, and WLAN setups, cloud-connect, and homeworker VPNs. Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Squad Lead to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in network security and the ability to manage and lead a team of engineers. This role requires availability for on-call duties to ensure the smooth operation of our services. The squad lead plays a key role in the team dynamics, ensuring that the work is well coordinated and that the objectives are achieved. He is the technical reference in his domain.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
Primary Tasks & Responsibilities
1. Leadership: The squad lead is responsible for the direction of the team, ensuring that members are aligned with the objectives and priorities. They make sure everyone understands their mission and works effectively together.
2. Coordination: The squad lead acts as the point of contact between their team and other teams or stakeholders. They facilitate communication to avoid silos and resolve any blockers or obstacles that may arise.
3. Project Management: While not their primary role, a squad lead may play a part in project management by ensuring deadlines are met, priorities are defined, and resources are properly allocated.
4. Support and Mentorship: The squad lead supports their team members in their personal and professional development, offering advice, providing resources, and motivating them to perform at their best.
5. Decision-making: As a leader, they often make decisions regarding team priorities, conflict resolution, or technical direction.
6. Maintain high availability of services with a 24/7 on-call rotation.
7. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure network security aligns with organizational goals.
Requirements
Technical Profile Requirements:
1. Lead and manage a team of network security engineers from an operational point of view.
2. Oversee the technical architecture, deployment, maintenance, and troubleshooting of network security systems.
3. Ensure the operational security of our tier 2 Datacenter, private WAN, local LAN, and WLAN setups, cloud-connect, and homeworker VPNs.
4. Translate incidents and requests from non-technical customers into actionable tasks for the team.
5. Experience in a healthcare services environment.
6. Familiarity with cloud-connect and homeworker VPNs.
7. Cloud Technology (Azure, AWS, etc.)
8. IT Infrastructure
9. IT Security Tools (IDS, IPS, MDM, SNMP v3 or equivalent, Firewalls, etc.)
10. MS Azure Conditional access policies
