Our Operations department is currently looking for an OPERATIONS TEAM LEADER:
The Operations Team Leader ensures the proper preparation and follow-up of their team's activities in accordance with the applicable company standards. They manage the distribution of work to achieve the weekly objectives and any priorities communicated by the Operations Shift Manager and/or the Operations Manager.
Complementary Description
Your role:
• Organize and supervise the work within your team (technical performers: Jet Engine Mechanics, Inspectors, and Repair Operators) alternating between two shifts;
• Provide practical support to the team on the engine or engine sub-assembly using equipment specific to the field of activity;
• Participate in on-the-job team meetings, ensuring problem resolution and continuous improvement of the production process;
• Regularly communicate with the Operations Shift Manager about important matters related to the daily functioning of your team and ensure handover to guarantee the smooth continuity of activities;
• Ensure and verify that safety, hygiene, quality rules and work regulations are properly applied within the company;
• Continuously evaluate the performance and attitude of your team members and provide guidance for continuous improvement;
• Regularly and effectively communicate with support services, management, Safran Group, instructors, and potential subcontractors.
Job Requirements
Your profile:
• At least 5 years of experience in a similar role within a production environment with team management;
• Secondary education with a technical orientation or equivalent through experience;
• Preferably have knowledge of jet engine maintenance;
• Familiar with quality systems, internal processes (Part 145), and have a basic knowledge of Safety, Hygiene, and Environment;
• Knowledge of common software (MS Office, ERP);
• Work in the workshop using a computer for products (parts, engines, modules, tools, etc.) according to your field of activity;
• Good command of English, French, and Dutch;
• Legally authorized to work in Belgium, holding either an EU passport or a valid work & residence permit. Please note that we do not provide assistance with visa or permit applications.
