We are currently looking for a Project Director in the framework of a Data Center project.As Project Director, you will be responsible for the management and implementation of Project Management Consultancy services for new build Large Infrastructures such as Data Centers or other large multi-technical projects.The role of the Project Director consists of global project management on behalf of the Client, including the organization of the staff, the elaboration of project procedures and processes as per Client standards/tools, the Procurement of Packages to Specialized Contractors (SPCs), Project Controls, Commercial and Contract Management, Construction Management, QAQC, Commissioning, and Hand-over.Your main tasks and duties will include:Manage the PMC project team (approx. 40 persons), organize their work, and meet with them in groups or individually to ensure performance and well-being;Organize staff presence on site, back-ups, and rotations during holiday periods or weekend/night works;Manage contacts and interactions with the Client and external stakeholders, both formally (official meetings, correspondence) and informally (building relationships and interpersonal trust);Report any major difficulties, concerns, or risks to Management (Project Sponsor) proactively;Prepare the Project Execution Plan and other project supporting documents;Deliver PMC services to client satisfaction, together with the PMC team and different project Key-persons, including but not limited to:Project Controls: build-up tools and monitor schedule and cost progress as per Client’s requirements, including critical assessment of SPCs reporting and identification of any deviation/risk anticipatively;Contract and Commercial Management: manage different SPCs contracts, manage changes (requested by Client or SPCs), keep records of changes, and maintain up-to-date financial reporting (earned value, invoiced amounts, etc.);Risk Management;Construction Management: coordinate contractor works on site, ensure optimized sequence of works, and provide Work authorizations;QAQC Management: including Factory Acceptance Tests, quality control on site, and hand-over to commissioning;HSE Management: ensure design safety compliance (conformity and records of all laws, regulations, and standards), safety supervision and processes, and compliance with Social Laws.Ensure effective communication within the project: with the client, team members, vendors/partners, and external stakeholders;Monitor and ensure client satisfaction and project performance (externally and internally).RequirementsMaster's degree in Engineering or equivalent;Minimum 20 years of professional experience;Minimum 10 years of experience in a Project Manager position on large Infrastructure Construction projects, preferably on multi-contractor projects;Experience on Data Center projects or similar large Infrastructure;Knowledge of procurement, construction, contract management, and multidisciplinary projects is a strong asset;Ability to think outside the box and challenge the status quo;Strong people management skills;Excellent customer handling and communication skills;Experience in an international environment is a strong asset;Excellent English and French language skills;Stress-resistant, results-focused, determined, decisive, and well-organized;Willingness to work in a Construction Site Office in Belgium.
