HOW TO APPLY?

Hauptaufgaben
As Engineering Technician, you will:
- Develop detailed step-by-step plans for accomplishing the project and prepare designs, plans, or sketches reflecting construction details.
- Interpret drawings, select building materials or appropriate substitute items.
- For contracted services, perform on site visits with contractors to explain the required work and the requested quote.
- Review expended man-hours and material costs with estimated cost, justifies deviations, and verifies cost base.
- Serve as official government purchase card (GPC) holder and is responsible for the bank account, payments, credits, disputes and dispute reports.
Qualifikationsanforderungen
MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:
Education level 2 (High-secondary school) successfully completed in a trade or craft related to the position being filled such as "Dessinateur en construction" and "Technicien en construction et travaux publics"
IN ADDITION TO THE MINIMUM REQUIREMENT, AT THE BA-07, THE FOLLOWING SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED:
Applicants must demonstrate at least one year of experience in the same or a similar line of work as the job for which considered. The experience must demonstrate that the applicant possesses the knowledge, skills and abilities required for the position, as described in the KSA's section. To be creditable, experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level (BA-06).
OR
Substitution of Education: Bachelor degree (or equivalent) successfully completed in a trade or craft related to the position being filled (e.g. Bachelier en construction - option batiment, Bachelier en construction genie civil, etc. ) is
qualifying at the BA-07 level.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs):
- Knowledge of and ability to read engineering drawings and architectural plans of facility and facility specific systems
- Understanding of on-site issues given by customers and adequately summarize the problem-set to your colleagues for them to solve.
IN ADDITION TO THE MINIMUM REQUIREMENT, AT THE BA-08, THE FOLLOWING SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED:

- Technical Knowledge to develop and/or review plans, specifications, and estimates for proposed projects.
- in collaboration with
required trades.
-Ability to solve on-site issues given by customers and to adapt during projects to problems that may arise.

ORGANIZATION AND PLACE OF DUTY:
US Army in Belgium is an American government agency whose mission is to provide logistical and administrative support to the US personnel at NATO and SHAPE in Belgium.
DESCRIPTION OF THE OFFER:
-Permanent, full-time (38 hours/week)
-Regular work schedule (Monday through Friday)
SALARY:
From 3,941.04 EUR gross/month at the BA-07. This is a trainee position. Upon meeting all qualification requirements to perform the duties at the next performance level, the incumbent may be non-competitively promoted per management's recommendation.
From 4,318.74 EUR gross/month at the BA-08. This is a trainee position. Upon meeting all qualification requirements to perform the duties at the next performance level, the incumbent may be non-competitively promoted per management's recommendation.
From 4,732.47 EUR gross/month at the BA-09
