We are looking for a Data Office Digital Lead to join us in our Data Office team, to be based in any of our Brussels (Belgium), Slough (UK), Atlanta or Raleigh (US) offices.
About the role
As the Data Office Digital Lead, you are responsible for the digital solutions in support of UCB’s data strategy, in particular, focused on governance, cataloging, and search. By responsible, the person will define, implement and support digital solutions that enable needed functionality to see UCBs data strategy ambitions succeed across the global organization. Technical delivery will be achieved by partnership with IT, but you will be accountable for the solutions, developing those in place as well as shaping future ones.

What you’ll do
1. Tactical, operational program-wide responsibilities for Data Office digital solution delivery as a member of an agile team. Ensures and is responsible for excellence in delivering technical solutions for the Data Office Strategy.
2. Is seen as a delivery-oriented operational Business partner able to support and develop products for data capability which deliver on pressing needs across data analytic science, program/business needs, technology, and process enablement.
3. Intentionally collaborative by mediating across interest groups to deliver transversal solutions and leading through influence.
4. Emphatic, curious, driven by challenges. Proactively addresses problems in an optimistic manner.
5. Significantly contributes to Data Office team preparation: action planning, execution, delivery, and communication at leadership forums/decision boards through to broader community wide communications.
6. Be an effective member of the Data Office and the broader Digital Cultural initiative.
7. Responsible for Platform Development and Lifecycle
8. Has a complete technical ownership of the solution delivery.
I nterested? For this position you’ll need the following education, experience and skills :
9. Master’s degree
10. Demonstrated delivery of cross functional initiatives – preference to systems/ data-enabled / advanced analytics / process improvement.
11. Hands-on experience, development, and expert knowledge of Collibra or similar catalogue/data governance platforms in support of multiple domains.
12. Understanding and development of workflow tools and engines.
13. Commercial, analytical, and solution-oriented thinking; is not stifled by ambiguity
14. Strong understanding of data/computing environments and user experience considerations, especially in data governance. Understanding this in the context of data science is an advantage.
15. Track record in implementing innovative next generation systems and leading high priority change initiatives; results oriented and innovative with a sense of responsibility and continued ownership.
16. You are interested in the potential of new technology and capable of translating technical potential into concrete projects bringing patient value.
