Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
* Advise and Support: Provide expert guidance on the selection and enhancement of security technologies, including upgrades to components within existing classified systems.
* Seamless Integration: Ensure updates and modifications are smoothly and promptly implemented within the current infrastructure.
* Data Security: Safeguard secure data flows and backups across protected networks.
* Risk Assessment: Identify and evaluate potential vulnerabilities, threats, and risks, proposing mitigation measures based on priority and impact.
* Documentation and Policy Management: Maintain thorough records of security measures and oversee relevant policies and procedures.
Your Expertise
Our client is looking for someone with strong technical skills, including:
* Active Directory: Designing and securing Microsoft Active Directory, including user management, group policies, and authentication protocols.
* Network Equipment: Extensive experience in configuring, optimizing, and securing switches and other hardware.
* Infrastructure Knowledge: Solid understanding of network and system architectures, as well as virtualization technologies in classified environments.
* Backup Solutions: Experience in designing, implementing, and managing backup and recovery solutions to prevent data loss and ensure business continuity.
* Firewalls: Proficiency in firewall technologies, independent of specific vendors.
* VPN Technologies: Expertise in designing and managing secure Virtual Private Networks for encrypted remote access and communication in classified networks.
* Crypto Security Principles: Hands-on knowledge of cryptography and encryption procedures.
* Compliance Advisory: Provide advice and validate compliance requirements issued by EU entities through Statements of Compliance and secure operations documentation.
The Ideal Candidate
You bring:
* Experience: At least 5 years in IT security with demonstrable expertise in architecture and design projects.
* Credentials: Eligibility to obtain accreditation at the level of EU Secret.
* Integrity: High ethical standards, with the ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.
* Up-to-Date Knowledge: A commitment to staying informed about the latest trends and threats in cybersecurity.
