The Corinthia Hotel Brussels is a luxury hotel redefining elegance and hospitality in the heart of the Belgian capital. Our hotel will provide an unforgettable experience for each of our guests. The Palm Court is a refined lounge where guests can indulge in a high-quality Afternoon Tea experience, accompanied by carefully curated drinks and gourmet light bites.
As a Waiter / Waitress at the Palm Court, you will be a key ambassador of an elegant and welcoming guest experience. You will greet guests with professionalism and warmth, providing attentive, personalized, and top-tier service. Your role will be central in presenting our selection of teas, beverages, and creative small plates, ensuring a memorable and unique experience for each guest.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Welcome guests with courtesy and elegance, ensuring attentive service from the moment they arrive.
* Present and advise guests on our selection of teas, drinks, and gourmet small plates.
* Deliver seamless and refined service, adhering to the Corinthia’s high standards of quality and excellence.
* Manage the setup and ambiance of the Palm Court, ensuring a tidy, elegant, and inviting atmosphere.
* Anticipate guest needs and ensure satisfaction throughout their experience.
* Collaborate closely with the Palm Court team and other departments to provide a harmonious and impeccable service.
* Handle guest feedback and special requests professionally and proactively.
Confidentiality
· Whist working for the Company there will be access to a wide variety of confidential information concerning the Company, guests and employees.
· It is vital that all such information remains confidential and must not be disclosed to anyone outside the Company, guests and employees, unless otherwise stated. Please refer to the Employee Handbook for full policy details.
Health & Safety
· To be aware of and comply with safe working practices as stipulated by the Health and Safety Act and as applicable to your place of work. This will include the incumbent’s awareness of any specific hazards at the workplace.
· The wearing of appropriate protective clothing provided by or recommended by the Company will be obligatory.
· To report any defects in the building, plant or equipment according to hotel procedure.
· To ensure that any accidents to staff, guests or visitors are reported immediately in accordance with correct procedures.
· To attend statutory Fire, Health & Safety training and to be fully conversant with and abide by all rules concerning:

* Regulations, such as COHSS in the European Union, related to the control of substances hazardous to health.

TALENT PROFILE
Experience:
* Previous experience as a server in a high-end environment, ideally with a focus on Afternoon Tea or fine dining service.
* Excellent presentation and communication skills, with a strong customer service orientation.
* Passion for fine dining and quality beverages, with an interest in tea culture and artisanal products.
Skills & Knowledge:
* Attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure, while maintaining a high level of attentive and elegant service.
* Fluency in French and English (knowledge of other languages is an asset).
* Team spirit and collaborative mindset, with a strong guest-focused approach.
