The Belgian branch, located in the center of Brussels, is actually looking for a talented and motivated Accountant (m/f/x) to join our dynamic Statutory Accounting team which is responsible for accounting, cash, tax and reporting activities. The Accountant reports to the Head of Accounting and will play a key role in supporting our financial operations and driving continuous improvements in accounting processes.
Operational Activities: Perform operational and daily tasks including the entry of supplier invoices for general expenses, bank statement reconciliations and processing payments.
Contribute to the closing operations to ensure timely and accurate monthly and annual financial statements.
Tax & Fiscal Activities: Prepare all tax-related tasks and continuously look for improvements.
Monitor cash management (banks and cash position) and provide guidelines or recommendations.
Ensure compliance with current regulations applicable for the branch, including group accounting guidelines and secure timely closing activities.
Financial Data Quality & Analysis: Conduct regular financial data quality reviews and meet local and group reporting requirements.
Master’s degree in Accounting; 3 to 5 years of work experience in an accounting role.
Strong knowledge of accounting techniques (Local Gaap, payroll, tax declaration etc.) Languages: FR or NL, good knowledge of EN is a plus.
Very good knowledge of MS Office skills and accounting applications (SAP)
