The UNESSA federation represents 545 affiliated organizations, which includes 1,130 regional branches and services. These nonprofit organizations are active in providing reception, support, assistance, and care to individuals in Wallonia and Brussels.

A Head of « Europe Projects Innovation (E.P.I.) » division
Your Mission
Under the supervision of the Deputy General Director in charge of this division and in connection with other division heads, the E.P.I. Division Head, with their team, carries out a mission of monitoring, prospecting, and informing about policies developed by the European Union, mainly in social action and health matters. Furthermore, they pilot and oversee the submission of projects and then ensure their development in conjunction with other sectors/resource services of the Federation.
In concrete terms:
* You organize monitoring of European information in line with the Federation’s strategic priorities.
* You ensure the development of a European network of partners and maintain regular relations with regional, Belgian, and European administrations in connection with functional policies of the European Union.
* You are proactive in developing projects that promote the exchange of experience and innovation for our members.
* You organize the coordination and participation in various projects in which the Federation is involved.
* You supervise and pilot cross-sectoral projects (projects with a transversal scope in several sectors represented by UNESSA).
* In agreement with their DGD, you define a line of defense for affiliates, taking into account the challenges of each sector and intersectoral issues.
* You are responsible for managing your team and are the reference person within their division, while ensuring the equitable distribution of missions and tasks, organizing the general coordination of your direct colleagues, and facilitating exchanges with sectoral managers within the Federation. You maintain a motivating dynamic by accompanying teams in a positive, transparent, and respectful manner.
Professional profile
* You hold a Master’s degree oriented Law, Political Sciences, or equivalent, coupled with a minimum of 8 years of experience in the non-profit sector or European Administration.
* You have significant experience in the fields of administration, civil society, as well as knowledge of European Institutions and policies related to sectors represented by UNESSA.
* Ideally, you have an excellent understanding of the regional, federal, and European political context and a broad network of contacts in European Capitals.
* You show a real interest in a varied social utility function.
* You are proficient in Office Suite tools.
* Languages: you are an excellent bilingual in French/English (spoken and written). Another European language is an asset.
Required qualifications and skills
* Ability to design, operationalize, and follow processes.
* Information management: the ability to inform oneself, analyze impact and issues, and transmit relevant information.
* Team Management skills.
* Critical and synthetic thinking.
* Relational, communicational, and writing skills (French – English).
* You are autonomous but love working in a team.
* You are rigorous, have a real sense of organization, and respect deadlines.
* You have respect for confidentiality.

A full-time, permanent contract on our two sites (Brussels and Namur).
