Our Brussels based House of Communication (labeled Great Place to Work) is looking for a Junior Accountant to join its team of around 120 employees and support the agency in serving clients such as: Argenta, ALDI, BMW, C&A, Decathlon, LOreal, Mars, Mini, Nikon, Shell, and many others. As Junior Accountant you will play a key role in supporting our finance department and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records. You will work closely with senior accountants and management to gain valuable experience in accounting and finance. Key Responsibilities Accounts Payable and Receivable: Process invoices, verify expense reports, and manage vendor and customer accounts. Journal Entries: Assist in preparing and recording journal entries for various transactions. Bank Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements and ensure accuracy of cash balances. Expense Tracking: Monitor and track expenses, ensuring compliance with company policies. Data Entry: Accurately enter financial data into accounting software and spreadsheets. Assist in Audits: Provide support during internal and external audits by gathering necessary documents and information. Accounting Inbox: Manage incoming mails, address requests and redirect where needed. General Accounting Support: Assist senior accountants with various accounting tasks and projects as needed. Requirements and Qualifications Bachelors degree in accounting or equivalent per experience. First (internship) experience in an accounting department is considered a plus. Computer skills on MS Office and accounting software, proficiency in Excel is considered a plus. Knowledge of SAP, Eurojob and/or Maconomy is considered a big plus. Knowledge of accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations. High attention to detail and accuracy. Capacity to work autonomously and with a hands on mentality. Being a real team player. Showing curiosity and willingness to learn and take initiatives to improve ways of working. Fluency in Dutch or French as well as working proficiency in English.
