Description
* Will collect and evaluate regulatory and strategic data concerning European legislative and regulatory frameworks, particularly focused on information technology and data governance.
* Will provide oversight on the execution of European and international laws at the national level, collaborating closely with legal and IT departments.
* Will actively participate in initiatives related to compliance and risk management.
* Will engage with national, European, and international federations addressing legal matters within their jurisdictions.
* Will prepare for and contribute to discussions in meetings organized by relevant European institutions and foreign bodies to advocate for the interests of the civil law in Belgium.
* Will take part in seminars and various events, both domestically and internationally (within the European Union), concerning these topics, including serving on steering committees for European co-financed projects alongside other organizations.
* Will effectively communicate updates on projects and files, utilizing channels such as articles in professional publications, presentations at events, and meetings.
* Holds a master's degree in Law from a recognized Belgian institution, complemented by an additional master's degree in European Law.
* Possesses 3 to 5 years of professional experience in a legal capacity.
* Has expertise in European and Belgian information technology regulations and data governance, with a solid foundation in competition law considered a definite advantage.
* Speaks French fluently, with a strong command of both Dutch and English (spoken and written). Proficiency in any additional European languages would be beneficial.
* Demonstrates outstanding performance in a multilingual workplace and is willing to travel occasionally internationally.
* Exhibits strong communication abilities and engages actively in discussions during meetings.
* Is proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
