Job Description
Arcadis' Planners/Schedulers are key team members responsible for planning and scheduling project activities across various phases, including concept, engineering, construction, commissioning, qualification, and validation. They report to the Lead Planner/Scheduler or Project Controls Department Manager (PCM) and work closely with project managers to ensure quality standards are maintained.
The primary clients of Arcadis are in the pharmaceutical, chemical, and micro-electronic industry sectors. The company provides full EPCMV services, including engineering, procurement, construction management, and validation. Experienced planners/schedulers in cost management are highly valued in these specialized sectors.
The successful candidate will be proficient in key areas of planning and scheduling projects in collaboration with project teams. They will support team members, foster interdisciplinary teamwork, and adhere to Arcadis' core values and behavioral expectations.
Quality is a top priority, with planners/schedulers expected to execute work in accordance with Arcadis SOPs, work instructions, and guidelines. They must also formally review estimates prepared by other planners/schedulers and ensure that all work prepared is formally reviewed and approved before issuance.
Arcadis offers training and development opportunities, supporting staff in joining relevant professional organizations and discussing areas for personal growth with their managers. Staff may also discuss specific client procedures and guidelines with their managers.
Continuous improvement is encouraged through active participation in project lessons learned and assisting in the development and improvement of group and discipline procedures, templates, standards, and knowledge management.
Key Responsibilities
* Collaborate with project teams to plan and schedule project activities.
* Maintain quality standards and adhere to Arcadis SOPs and guidelines.
* Support team members and foster interdisciplinary teamwork.
* Participate in project lessons learned and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
* 3+ years' experience as a planner/scheduler or in a similar role.
* Proficiency in Primavera Scheduling Software and MS Project.
* Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft tools.
* Experience in planning own work to meet deadlines.
* Appreciation of A&E, construction, and/or CQV interdependencies, sequencing, and logic.
* Experience on pharmaceutical or micro-electronics projects is an advantage.
Preferred Qualifications
* Third-level qualification in construction management or engineering.
* Certification in planning and scheduling software.
* Relevant professional certifications, such as chartership status.
