Your Scope
We are looking for a Group Buyer Packaging for our Group Procurement team in Europe. Group Procurement is responsible for the central strategic purchasing/sourcing of a large volume of frozen vegetables-fruits & ingredients, services, raw materials and packaging for all Ardo factories and locations. Within Group Procurement, a specialized team in Packaging is responsible for the external sourcing of flexibles & paper-based packaging with external suppliers. The Group Buyer Packaging is responsible for the execution, monitoring and aftercare of the purchasing process and managing the purchasing administration, within the guidelines and procedures of the department. He/she supports the department and the internal customer(s) for the timely processing of requests and purchase orders. Focuses on product quality, lead time, on time in full delivery, supplier management and optimization of the Total Cost of Ownership.
The Group Buyer Packaging will work closely together with colleagues in the Procurement team located in 8 different countries all over Europe, with local Supply Chain, Finance, Sales and Group Quality Assurance. Working location Ardooie-Belgium.
The Main Tasks Include
1. Support the Packaging Sourcing Manager in executing and optimizing sourcing processes to attain maximum efficiency and service levels.
2. Work closely with Purchasing Officers / Replenishers in planning and execution of contracts and ordering in all ARDO sites.
3. Collaborate with internal stakeholders (Technical, Sales, Quality, Sustainability) to align agreement on specifications, terms and sourcing processes and provide “customer service” to these stakeholders.
4. Manage vendor selection on Group level and build ongoing solid partnerships with vendors.
5. Develop negotiation strategies and secure the most competitive deals and (long term) contracts.
6. Execute buying (plans) and contracts as a share of the company’s Group sourcing portfolio ensuring transparency of spending and cost.
7. Build reports to provide some visibility and follow-up on the main Procurement KPI’s (volume and price evolution per plant, per supplier, per type of packaging…).
8. Execute, manage and maintain sourcing contracts, master data and pricing using Group ERP systems (incl. SAP) and internal processes.
9. Lead projects in the packaging category (i.e. data harmonization, service level improvement, …).
Your profile
1. Proven work experience in a Procurement role.
2. Preferably Master's Degree in Business, Engineering, Business/Administration, Supply Chain Management, Economics, Technical, Administration.
3. Strong analytical skills. Comfortable with Excel and in collecting, analyzing and interpreting complex data.
4. Excellent communication skills and ability to produce clear and well-organized documents.
5. Hand-on, pragmatic and creative problem solving.
6. Flexibility and ability to work on multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
7. Experience in sourcing/procurement (ERP) systems, preferably SAP.
8. Language skills: Dutch, English and French preferred.
