About the role:
Westinghouse OMS Major Projects Department is a rapidly expanding organization that is facing a wide variety of customer needs in different areas of Europe, Latin America, and Asia regions. We are a leader in the Nuclear Market services for management of complex projects, quality of delivery, machining, welding, and NDE field services and focus on supporting our customers in operating their assets safely and on restoring these assets to meet client and regulatory requirements in case of degradation.
As a Design-Installation Coordinator, you will report to the Consumer Solutions Manager and you will establish and maintain the link between the design and approval process on one side and the pre-fabrication and installation on the other side. You will manage the optimization of the design phase with the emphasis on the structural efficiency and installation feasibility.
This position is hybrid (3 days in office and 2 remote): we're looking for candidates located in Nivelles (Belgium) or willing to relocate.
Main Responsibilities:
* Follow the pre-fabrication and installation process addressing technical issues related to the fabrication, assembly, and construction phases of the project.
* Interact promptly with the installation organization and refine the solutions with the design group.
* Lead and control the technical justification of design changes.
* Troubleshoot emergent technical issues.
Qualifications:
* 10 years of technical project execution and/or field installation experience.
* Knowledge of the theories, principles, practice, and techniques for designing steel structures, piping, supports.
* Knowledge of the rigging and handling practices, the related standards, regulations, codes, and directives and how they are applied.
* Proficiency in French and English languages in reading and writing.
* Knowledge of construction codes as they apply in the Nuclear industry (ASME B&PV Code - Section III, RCC-M Code, AISC – Allowable Stress Design of Steel Constructions, Eurocode 3: Design of Steel Structures).
