Hospitality Talents, a recruitment agency specialized in Hospitality profiles, is currently looking for an experienced and highly motivated Executive Chef to join the team of our client in Ghent.
Our client is a new, state-of-the-art convention center in Gent, Belgium, featuring 4 distinct F&B outlets, large events & banqueting spaces and 400 hotel rooms. The venue can accommodate +350 delegates, offering a premier setting for events, conferences, and hospitality.
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Executive Chef to lead the culinary team. The ideal candidate will oversee all kitchen operations, ensure high-quality food production, and manage a diverse team to deliver exceptional dining experiences across our multiple F&B outlets.
Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement innovative menus that cater to a variety of events and client preferences.
* Ensure consistent food quality and presentation across all outlets.
* Manage kitchen staff, including hiring, training, and scheduling.
* Oversee inventory management, ordering, and budgeting to maintain cost efficiency.
* Maintain strict adherence to food safety and sanitation standards.
* Collaborate with the events team to customize menus for special events and conferences.
* Foster a positive and productive work environment, promoting teamwork and professional development.
* Handle customer feedback and make necessary adjustments to enhance guest satisfaction.
Requirements
* Proven experience as an Executive Chef or senior chef role in a high-volume, multi-outlet setting.
* Culinary degree or equivalent certification.
* Strong leadership and management skills.
* Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
* Proficiency in menu engineering and cost control.
* Knowledge of HACCP principles and food safety regulations.
* Fluency in English, Dutch appreciated; additional languages are a plus.
* Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
