Our client is looking for a Business Analyst – Airline Applications to join their team in the airline industry. In this role, you will be at the forefront of digitalizing airline operations. Your initial focus will be on implementing solutions to optimize and enhance the Flight Operations teams of airlines across Europe, the Middle East, and Latin America.
Your Responsibilities:
1. Serve as a key member of the airline center of competence, with in-depth knowledge of people, functions, processes, and systems.
2. Collaborate with functional and technical experts to define and implement systems.
3. Apply your expertise in aviation and airline operations to drive change while considering regulatory requirements and operational complexities.
4. Support every stage of solution development, from analysis and design to testing and implementation, by:
1. Clearly articulating and documenting requirements, processes, and data.
2. Conducting business analysis, process mapping, and process optimization.
3. Managing various implementation approaches, including agile, packaged software, and waterfall methodologies.
4. Preparing and executing test scenarios and test cases, coordinating end-users and IT teams.
5. Supporting user training and system implementation across business and IT functions.
6. Communicate and coordinate effectively with enterprise architects, IT developers, vendors, and airline stakeholders.
7. Provide documentation and support application integration for Flight Operations projects.
8. Evaluate off-the-shelf software solutions for Flight Operations and determine their integration requirements with existing systems.
9. Work closely with technical teams to define integration specifications and oversee the implementation of these solutions.
What You Bring:
1. A Master’s degree or equivalent industry experience.
2. A background in Flight Operations, transportation, computer science, or statistics is preferred.
3. Experience in Airline Flight Operations, Ground Operations, or ATC is a strong asset.
4. A minimum of 5 years’ experience in an analytical, project-based, or logistics operations role.
5. Knowledge of operational systems related to flight planning, aircraft communication, weight & balance, and fuel optimization (e.g., Lido, Sable).
6. Expertise in integration projects and a strong understanding of APIs and integration platforms (ESB, message queuing, API gateways).
7. Excellent IT skills, with experience in Microsoft Office, Miro, Confluence, Jira, and QTest.
8. Familiarity with or certification in Project Management methodologies such as PRINCE2 or PMP.
9. A problem-solving mindset, with the ability to analyze systems and processes and provide clear, well-reasoned solutions.
10. Strong communication skills, capable of presenting and conveying complex information in a structured and concise manner at all organizational levels.
