As a Senior Data Engineer at Melexis, you will play a crucial role in managing and facilitating the flow of data from various systems. This involves setting up data pipelines, ensuring data quality, and collaborating with data analysts and business stakeholders to ensure that the data meets business needs. You will be a key contributor to improving processes and practices within the data engineering team.
More specifically, you will
4. Set up and manage data pipelines to collect data from various sources, including machines, files, and databases.
5. Ensure data quality by validating data, identifying discrepancies, and working with business stakeholders to resolve issues.
6. Model and structure data to meet the requirements of reporting, AI, and analytics applications.
7. Collaborate with data analysts and business leads to understand data requirements and ensure that the data is effectively utilised.
8. Proactively manage projects, communicate progress to stakeholders, and address any issues that arise.
Your profile
9. You have a bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant field.
10. You possess strong technical skills in PySpark and SQL, essential for data processing and analysis.
11. You are familiar with cloud environments, particularly Google Cloud, AWS, or Azure.
12. You are a proactive and results-oriented individual with a strong drive to manage and oversee tasks effectively.
13. You are an excellent communicator and collaborator, capable of working effectively with both technical and business teams.
