Founded in 2022, we are dedicated to bringing the freshest and most delicious starters, rice bowls, and maki to your table. We pride ourselves on using only the highest quality and sustainable ingredients and preparing each dish with care and precision.
In line with our growth, we are looking for a District Manager for our 4 locations in Brussels and Leuven.
WHAT ARE YOUR DUTIES ON AN AVERAGE DAY:
· The District Manager is responsible for coordinating all operational activities in his/her shops and takes charge of his/her teams, which consists of 4 restaurant managers, team leads & team members.
· You act as a liaison between the support teams in headquarters (Marketing, HR, Finance, IT, Talent & Culture and Facilities) and the shops.
· The DM visits his/her shops on a weekly base to discuss the previous week's results and record action points for the upcoming week with the shop Manager.
· Roru’s values: Accessibility, Quality, Freshness and Simplicity are your bible. You follow up on audits and reports (FAVV, Mystery shoppers, Performance reviews, …) and create actions plans with the shops. Using these values, the DM performs a weekly check up in the shops.
· You’re not afraid to be active on the floor: You lead by example with a positive and hands on attitude and you’re operational at busy times. The shop’s image is prior on your list! You use this time to coach and motivate your teams and managers.
· Together with the Chief Operations Officer, you create the financial objectives of the shops (for the next 6 months) and translate them into objectives for the shop managers.
· The DM performs regular supervision of operational costs (HR, volume of losses, F&B cost and margins) and is able to optimize them.
· In collaboration with team HR, you’ll organize the recruitment and onboarding of shop managers & team members. You will provide and supervise the training of new managers and will evaluate their performance together with the COO every six months.
· You have a general idea of the necessary staffing in the shops, you motivate and report to the COO when a team member qualifies for evolution or when a team member falls short.
· You report directly to the Operational Manager
WHO ARE YOU:
· You have a passion for hospitality and authentic Japanese cuisine. You want and can transmit your passion to others (teams and clients).
· 3-5 years of Experience as a (District-) manager in hospitality in a must.
· You are a coach at heart who inspires and motivates employees to achieve excellent results.
· You are not afraid to take responsibility and ownership of your actions. You’re open to feedback.
· You work and communicate in a structured and organized way. You can identify a problem and map the necessary actions.
· You are results-oriented: you want to achieve the required objectives.
· You are flexible: working on weekends and having variable hours does not bother you and you are reachable/available in case of problems.
· Language skills: English + French and/or Dutch
