Currently we are looking for a European Finance & Tax Compliance Manager.
Tasks & responsibilities
* Financial information gathering in view of the LGAAP accounts preparation (IFRS to LGAAP conversion) by external advisors (incl financial statements where required).
* Preparation and follow-up of the statutory accounting work for the Belgian parent company, including preparation of the documentation for Workers Council and Board reporting in line with regulatory requirements.
* Financial and tax information gathering for the CIT (Corporate Income Tax) return preparations.
* Follow-up of all statutory accounts and tax legal due dates together with the local finance teams.
* Transfer pricing calculations for the EU branches of the Belgian parent company
* Follow-up of the VAT and intrastat reporting deadlines.
* R&D tax credit calculations for the Belgian parent company.
* Review and follow-up of the quarterly tax reporting packages together with the Group Head of Tax.
* Work closely with the finance team, at corporate and local level.
* You will have no direct reports - the title is manager as it refers to the scope, complexity and seniority of the position.
Your profile
* Master or bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
* Minimum of 3 years of experience in finance/audit.
* Strong knowledge of direct and indirect tax regulations.
* Strong accounting background (experience with Belgian GAAP is a must / knowledge of IFRS is a plus).
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both in Dutch as in English.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Experience in SAP is a plus.
