**Job Overview**
We are seeking a skilled Mechanic/Technician to join our team in the local workshop. As a pioneer in building at sea, we install infrastructure for renewable energy, enable transport by water, protect our coastlines and build state-of-the-art ports.
In this role, you will work together with your colleagues on bulldozers, dump trucks, wheel loaders, hydraulic excavators and various types of cranes. Your duties will include assisting in maintenance works, involved in major repairs and overhauls of engines, ensuring a safe working environment, and guiding/manage the mechanics who also work in the workshop.
To be successful in this position, you will need to have extensive experience with various heavy equipment, a solid technical background, an eye for safety, and be a go-getter who can work well under pressure. You must also speak English fluently.
**Work Environment**
Working at Jan De Nul means contributing to solutions to some of the biggest challenges of our time. You will work in a challenging rotational schedule of 6 weeks of work followed by 6 weeks of leave. During your work period, you will work 12h/day and 7 days a week. You will work ashore in our workshops and sleep in a nearby hotel (not on board the ships). The location of this employment is spread worldwide and varies according to our projects.
