As an International Special Equipment Operator SPMT's at Sarens, you will become part of a team which realizes the most impressive Heavy Lifting projects: bridge installations, roll-on/roll-off for the offshore wind industry, nuclear projects. We have an extensive fleet of special equipment: SPMT's, tower systems, strand jacks, pontoons. In this position, you will become the expert of the SPMT's! Due to strong growth, we are looking for a driven International Special Equipment Operator with a fascination for heavy lifting and large machinery.
Your job as a SPMT Operator in a nutshell:
* Loading and unloading equipment, performing assembly preparations and checking material.
* On-site assembly and disassembly; helping with further preparation work.
* Participating in operational progress during lifting operations.
* Reporting, discussing, and solving ad hoc problems on-site.
* Performing technical maintenance work.
In this position, you will report to the planning supervisor. Sometimes you work more in a small team of about 3 people, sometimes you work in a larger team.
About you
We are looking for a stress-resistant initiator, a team player who goes flat out and combines technical insight with a passion for large machines and outdoor work. A good degree or first experience is a good asset, but at Sarens, we attach more importance to the right mentality and the Sarens match. For this, you must have logical insight, a sense of responsibility and an eye for safety, a doer's mentality, a flexible attitude, and a keen interest in large machines, exceptional work, and technology in general.
Requirements:
* You have a technical graduate or bachelor's degree or are equivalent through experience.
* You have strong logical insight and stand out because of your learning ability; you pick up things quickly and are capable of evolving towards a supervisor role in due course.
* You steal with your ears and eyes where you can. In addition, you take a critical look at the situation. If something is not clear or seems unsafe, you dare to initiate a stop and consultation procedure.
* Good knowledge of English. You are able to communicate with colleagues, project managers, and clients from all over the world.
* Basic computer skills and administrative accuracy.
* Flexible attitude towards tasks, working hours, and locations (Europe).
