The OSKM must ensure trains and/or wagons can depart and operate compliant with safety and regulatory standards. This role focuses on developing the capabilities of the production area to enhance customer orientation, efficiency, and operational excellence.
In addition, responsibilities include ensuring instruction compliance with safety standards, defining business requirements for efficient operations, and leading improvement projects within the designated production area.
Our Operational Skills and Knowledge Manager manages a team of Operational Skills and Knowledge Experts for ground personnel & drivers.

* Team manager: you serve as the central point of contact for the Production Areas regarding driver and/or ground personnel training and follow-up. You organise frequent one-to-ones for Operational Skills and Knowledge Experts, drivers & operators.
* Learning and Development: you will coordinate and provide training and coaching and will open discussions with Operational Skills and Knowledge Experts to ensure effective resource planning.
* Processes: providing input for business requirements to optimise tools & processes, as well as providing training, development, and follow-up. Oversee the development of continuous improvement plans in safety and report safety-related KPIs. Evaluate and implement ideas from ground personnel, drivers, and Operational Skills and Knowledge Experts to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
* Communication: You will represent Safety BE in functional meetings, ensuring bottom-up input and evaluating changes in regulation or processes.
* Ensure daily anomaly management and focus on incident management and internal agreements.
* Assist in the certification of Operational Skills and Knowledge Experts as trainers deployed at Lineas Academy.
* You provide feedback to our planning team, supply chain, engineering, etc., on service quality, efficiency, improvements, and certification processes.
You are doing this by:

* Solving and tackling problems pro-actively with creative ideas.
* Focusing on people and being passionate about creating the right working conditions. You know what it takes to drive change.

* Pushing actions towards achieving the preconceived objectives and goals (flow & quality). You are convinced about the strength of continuous improvement.
* Acting efficiently and correctly in a continuously changing environment.
* Showing a clear and perfect safety attitude in the past.
What is your profile?
* 5 years of experience or equivalent in a management role.
* Excellent communication and change management skills.
* Strong analytical skills.
* Able to perform within a matrix organisation with diverse cultures and wide international geographical spread.
* Very good teamwork skills.
* Interest to delve into the processes and tools is a must. Prior knowledge is a plus, but not necessary.
