About the Job
As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for the execution of our projects, ranging from small improvements to large industrial constructions (mechanical, structural, piping, civil).
Key Responsibilities
* Maintain close contact with clients to identify their needs and expectations.
* Determine the conceptual design in consultation with clients and the project team.
* Lead the engineering phase of the project, ensuring timely completion and quality standards are met.
* Provide guidance and instruction to team members, including Designers and CAD Engineers.
* Organize and lead 3D reviews with clients, as well as technical and commercial procurement meetings.
* Oversee contractors during on-site deliveries and installations, ensuring smooth project execution.
Role in the Organization
The Project Engineer typically reports to a Project Manager and is responsible for leading a team of Designers and/or CAD engineers. This role requires strong leadership skills, effective communication, and a thorough understanding of project management principles.
Required Competences and Characteristics
* Technical background in electromechanics, mechanics of piping, or a related field.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Proficiency in English, with additional language skills (French, Dutch) depending on location.
* Ability to make decisive decisions and take the lead in project execution.
* Strong team player with excellent time management and organizational skills.
* Adaptability and flexibility in a fast-paced work environment.
* Basic knowledge of process flow and ability to think outside the box.
* Driving license required for site visits.
Software Knowledge and Experience
* Interpretation of 2 & 3D design models, including piping, structural, mechanical, and civil designs.
* Familiarity with Microsoft 365 tools (MS Projects, Teams, SharePoint, Outlook, Excel) and 3D design software (Inventor, Plant 3D, Advance Steel, Revit, Navisworks, Recap, CadWorx, Caesar II, Bricscad) is an advantage.
