About the Role:
As a Production Manager, you will oversee all production activities in a 24/7 operation (2 production lines, 3 shifts, with no weekend production—only guard presence). Your role will be key in transforming daily management into a data-driven process, leveraging KPIs and the 5S methodology to optimize decision-making and minimize losses.
You will report directly to the Plant Manager, providing strategic support, and be a member of the Plant management team. You will lead a team of 50 employees with 5 direct reports.
You will manage site activities alignment with stakeholders such as HSE, Quality, Maintenance, R&D, Product Management, and Logistics and manage daily interactions between all departments to ensure the highest level of service for customers.
* Main Objectives:
* Translating strategy into processes: helping the company and its employees shift from an experience-based organization to a process-based one.
* Team management.
* Managing, developing, and ensuring accountability and engagement across the entire production team.
* Handling delicate situations.
* Supporting the training and development of production teams - operators and team leaders.
* Organizing weekly one-to-ones.
* Managing workplace safety in production areas through the deployment of 5S standards and ensuring continuous follow-up.
* Aligning production capacity with short, medium, and long-term demand profiles, adjusting production labor accordingly.
* Being part of the guarding team, you will on duty coming to the factory for parameters check 1 weekend every 8 weeks.
* Ensuring that SQDC (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost) measures and priorities are effectively managed for each team, every day.
* Effectively managing the handover of all team activities by applying rigorous escalation and closure procedures.
* Writing, implementing, and monitoring department SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures).
* Identifying improvement opportunities and supporting project execution results.
* Supporting the Plant Manager in union relations.
* Compliance: adhere to the company's compliance obligations, policies, processes, and procedures.
About the Team:
You'll work closely with your direct reports, who are experienced, reliable, and have grown within the company. The Management Team consists of nine managers (mostly engineers), who collaborate in English and meet monthly to drive progress, strengthen teamwork, and align with group objectives.
Requirements:
* Masters degree in engineering.
* Proven experience in a similar role in a production sector.
* Proven experience in standardization and process implementation.
* Practical knowledge of 5 S or lean manufacturing, innovation processes.
* Strong practical knowledge in QHSE or health and safety management systems and quality.
* Operationally versatile, with a hands-on approach to task completion and a positive attitude, coupled with genuine leadership skills.
* Excellent ability to translate site strategy into concrete action plans.
* Reliability and consistency in decision-making.
* Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to set goals and prioritize workloads for oneself and others.
* Results-oriented with problem-solving skills to track indicators and set goals.
* Listening skills, respect for people.
* Excellent communicator (both written and verbal) with outstanding interpersonal skills in dealing with social partners.
* Proficiency in computer tools and MS Office suite, especially Excel.
