About the Role
In this position, you will provide technical assistance to external customers and ensure timely and cost-effective support in accordance with guidelines.
You will be the primary point of contact for customers facing technical problems related to the PLC layer of the delivered solution, providing effective solutions from initial contact to final resolution.
Key Responsibilities:
* Troubleshoot potential equipment failures, taking proactive measures to prevent or mitigate issues and inform internal partners;
* Deliver exceptional service, remotely or on-site, in key categories, including planned maintenance, repairs, extensions, upgrades, end-of-life services, and replacements;
* Assist with commissioning activities, such as editing project files and conducting testing and verification activities for new projects;
* Provide sales support for change requests based on customer knowledge, including specifications, prices, and planning;
* Be available round-the-clock for one week each month as first-line support for clients with any issues (via phone, modem connection, and/or on-site intervention);
* Suggest product and process improvements to enhance operations and customer service.
Requirements:
* Sound knowledge of industrial automation servicing, maintenance, commissioning, and repair;
* Familiarity with PLC programming, robotics, and standard field components in automation;
* A minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role or equivalent by education;
* Customer-oriented approach and ability to identify and assess customers' needs;
* Collaborative and solutions-oriented mindset, with strong communication skills;
* Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and handle demanding customers;
* Willingness to be on call one week per month;
* Commitment to staying up-to-date on the latest developments in used technologies;
* Flexibility to work occasionally on-site in Belgium or abroad;
* Fluency in Dutch or French, with a good understanding of English (German is an asset);
