We are looking for multiple freelance professionals for different projects. Your personal passion, interests, and experience will be decisive in setting the right accents and determining your personal journey.
Your Job Responsibilities:
1. Drawing up project plans: Develop comprehensive project plans for migrating traditional applications to private and public cloud environments, outlining the scope, objectives, and deliverables.
2. People management for the members of the various (project) teams: Lead and manage project teams, ensuring effective collaboration and performance among team members.
3. Planning the project in terms of timeline and milestones: Establish project timelines and milestones, ensuring that all phases of the cloud migration and API development projects are completed on schedule.
4. Assigning tasks and responsibilities to the project members: Delegate tasks and responsibilities to team members based on their skills and expertise in cloud services and API development.
5. Mapping and managing project risks (and measures): Identify potential project risks related to cloud migration and API reliability, and develop strategies to mitigate them.
6. Manage project issues: Address and resolve any issues that arise during the project lifecycle, ensuring minimal disruption to the migration process.
7. Ensuring that solutions comply with standards and best practices as applicable within the client: Ensure that all solutions adhere to industry standards and best practices, including resilience patterns, monitoring, and postmortems.
8. Stakeholder management: proactively coordinate with various project stakeholders: Engage with stakeholders to understand their needs and ensure their requirements are met throughout the cloud migration and API development processes.
9. Regular coordination with the steering group: Maintain regular communication with the steering group to provide updates and receive guidance on the project.
10. Coordination with suppliers and external partners: Collaborate with suppliers and external partners to ensure the successful implementation of cloud services and API solutions.
11. Change management: Implement change management processes to ensure smooth transitions and adoption of new cloud-native and API solutions.
12. Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on project progress, risks, and outcomes to stakeholders and senior management.
Your Requirements:
1. Proven experience and knowledge of private, public (Azure, Google), and hybrid cloud solutions: Hands-on experience with cloud platforms and solutions.
2. Experience and ambition in Site Reliability Engineering (SRE): Demonstrated experience in SRE practices and advocating for SRE within the organization.
3. Proven experience designing high-availability and disaster recovery-capable solutions: Expertise in creating robust and resilient IT solutions.
4. Advanced knowledge in API development in Java/Spring Boot: Proficiency in developing APIs using Java and Spring Boot.
5. Advanced platform knowledge in platform VM (Windows/Linux), as well as container orchestration (Kubernetes, OpenShift, AKS): Strong understanding of virtual machines and container orchestration.
6. Middleware knowledge like event buses (Kafka, MQ), file transfer, application server solutions: Familiarity with middleware technologies.
7. Knowledge of datastores (structured and non-structured); Oracle DBaaS, Cassandra, ECS S3 Objectstore, etc.: Experience with various data storage solutions.
Non-technical requirements:
1. Good presenter who can convey stories well between business and IT stakeholders: Excellent communication skills to bridge the gap between business and IT.
2. Self-disciplined, very proactive, and organized, with the ability to identify what needs to be done: Strong organizational and proactive skills.
3. Strong team player, empowering and challenging squad/chapter members to foster collaboration and individual development: Ability to foster teamwork and collaboration.
4. Market focus and outside-in thinker: Ability to think strategically and focus on market trends.
Other requirements:
1. Bachelor/Master of Science in Computer Science or equivalent experience: Advanced education or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
