Electrical Supervisor -Walkdowns-Belguim
he Electrical Supervisor will oversee and participate in the planning, execution, and evaluation of electrical walkdown activities on various projects. The successful candidate will ensure adherence to safety regulations, quality standards, and project timelines while leading a team of technicians and contractors, and pharmaceutical experience.
You will :
1. Conduct the walkdowns, the supervisor plans the route and areas to be inspected, gather necessary documentation such as blueprints, schematics, maintenance records, and safety procedures. You also coordinate with other team members or relevant stakeholders.
2. During any electrical inspection, safety is paramount.
3. Ensures that all necessary safety equipment, such as personal protective gear (PPE), testing tools, and lockout/tagout devices, are available and utilized properly.
4. Physically inspects electrical equipment, wiring, connections, and other components for signs of damage, wear, corrosion, or improper installation. They may use tools such as flashlights, mustimeters, thermal imaging cameras, and voltage testers to aid in their inspection.
5. Visual inspection, the supervisor may perform functional tests on electrical systems to ensure they are operating within specified parameters. This may include testing circuits, switches, breakers, transformers, and other equipment to verify proper functionality.
6. Any anomalies, deficiencies, or safety hazards observed during the walkdown are documented and reported according to established procedures.
7. Include documentation may include photographs, written reports, and recommendations for corrective action.
8. After completing the walkdown, the supervisor may coordinate with maintenance personnel or other relevant parties to address any identified issues. This may involve scheduling repairs, replacements, or upgrades to ensure the continued safe and reliable operation of the electrical systems.
9. Ensuring the safety, reliability, and compliance of electrical systems in various industrial, commercial, and residential settings.
You will have:
10. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field preferred.
11. Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical supervision, with a focus on walkdowns in industrial or construction environments.
12. Strong knowledge of electrical systems, equipment, and components.
13. Familiarity with relevant codes, standards, and regulations governing electrical installations (e.g., NEC, NFPA).
14. Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
15. Proficiency in computer applications such as MS Office and project management software.
16. Certification in electrical safety (e.g., OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety) preferred. Willingness to travel to project sites and work in various environmental conditions
