We are seeking a skilled Logistics Budgeting & Controlling Manager to lead a team of six professionals, ensuring financial transparency, cost efficiency, and strategic decision-making within our 200M+ EUR logistics operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership & Development:
* Lead, mentor, and develop a team of six logistics professionals, fostering collaboration and performance excellence.
* Set clear performance objectives and ensure alignment with company goals.
* Encourage a data-driven mindset within the team, improving cost control and financial analysis capabilities.
Financial Planning & Cost Control:
* Develop and manage the European logistics budget, preparing quarterly cost forecasts and tracking actual vs. planned expenses.
* Lead cost-saving initiatives by analyzing financial data and identifying efficiency improvements.
* Create and enhance cost reporting mechanisms, ensuring visibility and accountability.
* Manage and optimize logistics invoice processing tools, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
Logistics Strategy & Network Optimization:
* Drive financial and strategic decision-making in logistics tendering and contract negotiations with providers.
* Analyze and propose network optimizations to improve cost efficiency, service levels, and COâ‚‚ footprint.
* Supervise logistics projects, including new warehouse setups and distribution network expansions.
* Ensure warehouse capacity and insurance coverage align with future business needs.
Corporate Reporting & Performance Management:
* Prepare and present financial and logistics reports for Senior and Top Management.
* Organize and lead monthly Supply Meetings, ensuring cross-functional collaboration.
* Improve reporting tools and enhance data visualization (Power BI, COâ‚‚ tracking, performance KPIs).
Logistics Provider & Stakeholder Management:
* Oversee three major outsourced warehouses and customer distribution in the Benelux region.
* Manage relationships with shipping lines and inland transport providers, ensuring cost-efficient and reliable container flows from Asia to Europe.
Profile We Are Looking For:
* Education: Master’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or Engineering.
* Experience: Strong background in financial controlling, logistics budgeting, corporate planning, or supply chain finance.
* Skills: Expertise in cost management, financial forecasting, budgeting, and performance analysis.
* Tech Skills: Proficiency in Excel, Power BI, and financial modeling is a plus.
* Attributes: Detail-oriented, analytical, and capable of translating financial insights into strategic actions.
* Languages: Fluent in English; other European languages are a plus.
