ANALOG DESIGN ENGINEER ANTWERP (BELGIUM) PERMANENT POSITION
As an Analog Design Engineer in the telecom sector, you will play a critical role in developing and optimizing analog and mixed signal circuits for next generation communication systems. Your expertise will contribute to the design of RF front end components, high speed data converters, power management circuits, and signal conditioning blocks that form the backbone of wireless and wired telecom infrastructure.
In this role, you will work on advanced integrated circuit (IC) design, focusing on achieving high performance, low power consumption, and optimal signal integrity for telecom applications, including 5G, satellite communications, optical networks, and IoT.
You will be responsible for the entire design cycle, from conceptualization and schematic design to simulation, layout, and validation of circuits. Working closely with RF, digital, and system engineers, you will help optimize end to end communication systems and ensure compliance with industry standards such as LTE, 5G NR, Wi Fi, and Bluetooth.
You will also engage in extensive simulations, post layout verification, and lab testing to validate and optimize circuit performance. Knowledge of semiconductor fabrication processes and packaging techniques will be crucial in ensuring the reliability and manufacturability of the designs.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design and simulate analog and mixed signal circuits, including lifiers, filters, phase locked loops (PLLs), and analog to digital converters (ADCs).
* Develop RF and high speed circuit designs for telecom applications, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
* Conduct circuit modeling, analysis, and validation using simulation tools (e.g., Cadence Virtuoso, SPICE, ADS).
* Collaborate with digital, RF, and system engineers to optimize signal integrity and power efficiency.
* Perform layout reviews, parasitic extraction, and post layout simulations.
* Work with PCB designers to ensure proper signal routing and impedance matching.
* Support design verification, characterization, and debugging at the silicon level.
* Stay updated with emerging telecom technologies, including 5G, IoT, and satellite communications.
Requirements:
1. Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related field.
2. Strong background in analog/mixed signal IC design, RF circuit design, and telecommunications.
3. Proficiency in design and simulation tools such as Cadence, Mentor Graphics, and MATLAB.
4. Understanding of telecom standards (e.g., LTE, 5G, Wi Fi, Bluetooth).
5. Experience in silicon validation, lab testing, and debugging using oscilloscopes, network analyzers, and spectrum analyzers.
6. Kno
