About the role
Reporting to the Head of Global Quality Leads, this role in Global Quality Organization provides leadership and GMP Quality expertise to drive continuous Quality Assurance improvements and effective use of the Quality Management System. It drives the initiatives to enhance robustness, efficiency, alignment and standardization of working practices.
You will work with
This role involves leading the Global Products Quality Solutions ( GPQS) Team and working closely with the Global Quality Leads (GQLs) and various UCB functions. These functions include Quality Systems, GMP/GSP Quality Operations, Global Distribution & In-Market Quality, Devices and Wearable Technology Quality, manufacturing sites, Product Strategy Teams, Global Regulatory Affairs, Safety, Supply and Technology Solutions.
What you will do
Team Management
1. Lead the GPQS Team, partnering with GQLs to provide quality leadership throughout the product lifecycle. Responsibilities include organizing and documenting committees, stakeholder reviews, maintaining QA flow, managing metrics, ensuring audit readiness, and reviewing regulatory submissions.
2. Ensure resource allocation within the GPQS team to properly support the GQLs and to properly address the product resources needs
Transversal Projects and Initiatives
3. Contribute to and allocate resources for projects impacting multiple products or improving GQL processes
4. Serve as the Global Products Quality Management representative on the QMS Team or be assigned to specific quality system processes as needed
5. Drive and support projects related to Global Quality Leads and Global Products Quality Management, ensuring continuous improvement processes are harmonized, efficient and enhance business performance
6. Provide product quality expertise and support decision-making for projects requiring GQL input.
7. Ensure effective communication and coordination of shared activities across UCB teams.
Corporate Process Owner
8. Serve as the Corporate Process Owner for one or more core Quality Systems, including the Annual Product Quality Review (APQR)
9. Act as the UCB Subject Matter Expert and global resource for these systems
10. Develop and maintain UCB Policies and standards for APQR
11. Oversee system deployment, including training material development, periodic senior management reviews and maintenance through Regulatory Surveillance and industry benchmarking

Individual Skills
12. Master’s degree or a bachelor’s degree with substantial relevant experience
13. Must have an advanced level and competence in speaking, comprehension and writing in English language
14. Strong knowledge about the global pharmaceutical industry regulations and practices, including the interpretation and practical application of applicable regulatory requirements
